Scenius helps institutions reduce uncertainty by turning structured public participation into decision-ready insight. Four connected pathways — Research, Advisory, Co-Design, and Implementation — cover intake through delivery.
The gap Scenius closes
Public-input tools have historically forced institutions to choose between two failure modes. Traditional consultations produce reports with methodology but almost no participation. Online comment systems produce enormous participation with no attribution, structure, or defensible synthesis.
Scenius closes that gap: participation at scale, attribution preserved, synthesis reviewed by humans, findings published as citable records.
What Scenius is not
Clarity through restraint. Scenius is not:
- A social network, comment feed, or discussion forum.
- A debate arena or persuasion platform.
- A think tank producing findings without the people affected by the question.
- A polling product that mistakes a snapshot of opinion for research.
- A marketplace of ideas or an engagement tool.
What Scenius refuses to do
- Publish AI-generated findings without human review — every synthesized finding passes through an owner or admin.
- Let sponsors steer conclusions — Advisory sets scope, but participation and findings are structurally independent.
- Represent participation as more than it is — every report declares what it does and does not claim to represent.
- Erase attribution — contributions are records, not comments.
What Scenius is becoming
The platform is evolving in service of that goal, not the other way around.
- Deeper research surfaces — richer participation, better synthesis, more nuanced report composition.
- Broader Advisory intake — more institutions bringing questions, more mature scoping.
- Co-Design and Implementation formalized as first-class pathways that continue the same participants’ work forward.
- Better traceability from a research finding back to the contributions that produced it.
What will not change
- Participation is attributable.
- Findings pass human review before publishing.
- Reports state their methodology and limitations.
- Sponsors don’t author findings.
- The people affected by a question are part of researching it.
A closing orientation
Scenius exists to answer a single question, again and again:
What does the public actually think — and can we hand that back to institutions in a form they can act on?
Everything else on the platform — the workflows, the roles, the governance, the partnership model — exists to protect the integrity of that answer.
